ZIM Labs Launches ThinOral Technology In Myanmar With ABC International

ZIM Labs, in line with its global expansion, partnered with ABC International to take it’s ThinOral Technology to Myanmar. On 15th August 2020, ZIM Labs launched Ltriz ODS (Levocitrizine 5mg ODS) in Rangoon City, Myanmar. The launch was part of an interactive webinar titled "Optimising Surgical treatments of Thyroid and Antihistamine usage in Rhinology".

Medicines, in all their various forms, aid in preventing or fighting diseases or curbing the symptoms to help a body fight back pathogens and build immunity. With all the benefits they offer, the traditional forms of drug delivery have some inconvenience attached to them which is why ZIM Labs came up with the ThinOral Technology - a fast-dissolving oral drug delivery form.

Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that is used to relieve allergy symptoms like watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes, or sneezing. This innovative technology from ZIM Labs helps people suffering from these problems take their regular medication.

These strips can be taken orally without any water to assist it. These strips dissolve on the tongue and get into the body’s bloodstream instantly. We, at ZIM Laboratories, are extremely proud to have launched this product in our patented, novel drug delivery system - Orally Disintegrating Strips - in Myanmar with esteemed marketing partner ABC International.

At the launch, the Interactive International Webinar was organized with keynote addresses by:

- Dr. Madan Kapre (Founder governing council member of Asia Pacific Thyroid society and founder President of the Indian Society of Thyroid Surgeon) presented a webinar about “Optimizing surgical treatments of Thyroid”

- Dr. Thandar Win (Consultant ENT Surgeon, Myanmar) spoke about “Role of Antihistamine in ENT practices”

- Dr. Nidhi Sapkal (Research Head- ZIM laboratories) spoke about “ODS- Revolutionizing oral drug administration therapies by NDDS”.

- Dr. Maung Maung Khaing (Head of department Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery, ENT Hospital Yangon, Myanmar) acted as the moderator.
